What is ventricular fibrillation (VF)?
VF is a chaotic heart rhythm that prevents the heart from pumping blood. It’s the most common cause of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and requires immediate defibrillation.

How does the ZOLL AED Plus help treat VF?
The ZOLL AED Plus delivers a shock designed to reset the heart's rhythm. It also provides real-time CPR feedback to help ensure effective chest compressions.

Should I remove the electrode pads before starting CPR?
No. Keep the pads in place throughout CPR. They are designed to remain during chest compressions.

What if the AED says 'No Shock Advised'?
Not all rhythms are shockable. Continue CPR until emergency help arrives.

What if the person doesn’t survive even after defibrillation?
Unfortunately, not all cardiac arrests are survivable. Quick CPR and defibrillation provide the best chance, but outcomes depend on multiple factors.

What if the person regains a pulse but isn’t breathing?
Provide rescue breaths—1 breath every 5 seconds—until they begin breathing on their own or help arrives.
